False Bay awoke to the big storm of June 2017 with flat seas, howling wind and rains – the swell was direct westerly and it was hitting the other side of the peninsular. Muizenberg beach went from 2ft at 9am to 6ft+ by 4pm on the 7th. The 8th was unsurfable at Muizenberg beach but Kalk Bay reef awoke with some wild 6ft waves
