7th November, a Tuesday afternoon, saw a gale force SE wind push in a SSE swell straight into False Bay with a ferocious intensity unmatched anywhere else in Cape Town, these pictures don’t do it any justice but they are pretty close. I cowered with other photographers close to the harbour house restaurant hoping not to get drenched as waves cleared the wall with spray and foam flung at us from all directions, we were all eagerly awaiting the next thunderous wave to pound against the Kalk Bay harbour wall.
